The 2024 Chiefs Home Jersey was worn during a memorable season for the Gallagher Chiefs, as the team continued to build on its strong history in Super Rugby. The Chiefs finished the regular season with a place in the playoffs and produced one of their standout performances of the campaign in the quarter-final, defeating the Queensland Reds. They then faced the Hurricanes in the semi-final in Wellington, where they secured a place in the Super Rugby Pacific final. 

The 2024 season also produced a record-breaking moment for the club, with the Chiefs defeating Moana Pasifika 68-12 at FMG Stadium Waikato. The ten tries scored that night set a new franchise record for the most tries in a match, while the 56-point winning margin was also the largest in Chiefs history. 

A jersey from a memorable season

The Chiefs' red, black and yellow identity has long been closely connected with the club and its Waikato and wider Chiefs Country roots. The 2024 jersey formed part of that continuing identity, combining the familiar Chiefs colours with the cultural elements that have become an important part of the club's modern jerseys. 

The season ultimately took the Chiefs to the Super Rugby Pacific final, where they faced the Blues at Eden Park. The Chiefs were beaten 13-31, bringing an end to a campaign that had seen them reach their first final since 2023.
